Every new beginning....

My name is Holly, and I'd like to welcome you to my little slice of the blogosphere. I plan on using this blog to share all sorts of things with you. I will share things ranging from nail polish to ice cream; pictures of trees and flowers and humans and animals and who knows what else. I've got a very busy mind, and a very busy life, so I'm hoping this blog will force me into taking a little "me" time, thus slowing my busy mind down just enough to get a full 5 hours of sleep at a time. I've had a massive love of nail polish ever since I was young....so roughly 23-24 years. My family remembers how I used to paint everything I owned with nail polish (and how I still tend to do this, but with a lot better results nowadays.) Back when I was in 4th grade, I remember getting my first "job" as a "pop girl" at the bingo hall, and I used to use the money I made there to buy polish from the Avon lady who set up shop around her massive pile of bingo cards. I remember way back, when the Hard Candy nail polishes first came out, and how I had a strange urge to collect every polish from the collection. I remember when Street Wear was all the rage, and how much I hated the bar glitter (and still do for the most part!!) For reasons still unknown to me, I never followed the dream of going to school to do nails so I could become the next big thing in Hollywood - regarding nails at least - and I've led my life down various crazy paths over the years. One constant thing that has remained in my life, through all the good times and the bad, is nail polish. I also harbor a healthy love of makeup, though I only wear eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and Chapstick. My love for glitter is second to none....if I could be covered in glitter 24/7 I would be elated. I love ice cream, and I love animals. I work at a children's hospital, and have learned just how much love I can share with the kids I care for, and how that love is seemingly never tapped out. I love winter & snow, but also love being tan in the summertime. I love skulls & crossbones and anything pirate-related (maybe one day I'll get my pirate bathroom completed and will share pics on here.) I love music (most genres) and what music can do for me/to me. I love my family, and my best friends who have always stood beside me, no matter what kinds of choices I've made over the years. I'm not entirely sure how successful this blog will turn out to be. There are a lot of nail polish/beauty/life bloggers out in the world now, and they're wicked awesome at what they do. If I gain a few readers, that will be a bonus for me. My life outside of this blog is hectic and there never seem to be enough hours in the day, but hopefully this will help me change that mentality. I also hope you enjoy this blog, and I hope I always enjoy writing it. If there's anything in particular you'd like me to review, let me know. If you have any questions, ask away.
